I have decided to take on a personal quest to explore all the places in world (Secondlife Grid) I can find that are built to resemble real world places. Being of Scottish descent in real life I figured a good place to start would be the Sim named "Scotland" 
The landing point puts you right in the seeming middle of everything, which in my opinion is a good place to be for starting. There is a TP board there that will quickly move you to what ever catches your fancy.
